Coaching Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this coaching for?
My coaching is for leaders, executives, professionals, and others who want to navigate meaningful personal and professional change with greater awareness, clarity, and intention. It may be particularly relevant when you are entering a new leadership role, facing a transition, making decisions under uncertainty, or seeking greater alignment between your values and actions.
What does disciplined and reflective coaching mean?
Reflection helps you see yourself, your circumstances, and your choices more clearly. Discipline helps you translate that awareness into action. Awareness may create the initial shift, but sustainable transformation requires disciplined action aligned with your values and purpose. My coaching brings these two elements together.
How can coaching help during change or uncertainty?
Uncertainty can activate automatic reactions shaped by thoughts, emotions, assumptions, and previous experiences. Coaching helps you pause, recognise what is influencing your response, and make more conscious choices. This can help you move through uncertainty with greater clarity, responsibility, and intention.
Will you advise me or tell me what to do?
Coaching differs from consulting, advising, and mentoring. My primary role is to evoke awareness and support you in developing your own clarity, choices, and capacity for action.
My business experience informs my understanding, while as a coach, I trust your ability to develop your own solution. I respect your autonomy and responsibility for deciding what is right for you.
How do I know whether you are the right coach for me?
A productive coaching relationship depends on trust, readiness, and a meaningful connection between your needs and the coach’s approach. My work may suit you if you value thoughtful depth, honest reflection, respectful challenge, personal responsibility, and disciplined action. An initial conversation allows us to explore what brings you to coaching and whether working together feels appropriate.
What does a coaching engagement look like in practice?
Coaching engagements are tailored to the individual and can take place online or in person, depending on location and planning, although most sessions take place online. A typical engagement consists of 6–10 sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes. Coaching is available in English and German. The format and rhythm are agreed at the outset based on what best supports the coaching objective.
